Salon Policies, Terms & Conditions

These are the policies terms and condition's of using in salon services, our website and online shop:


At the Cut Hut Hair and Beauty Studio we pride ourselves on offering Quality Hair & Beauty Services at a fair and reasonable price for the whole family. The following policies have been put in place to protect our salon, staff and clients alike and to ensure everything runs smoothly so you enjoy your total Hair & Beauty experience. 

Pricing & Payment Methods Policy 

Salon pricing may vary from one salon to the next. Variations in pricing can also depend on the length and thickness of hair. For accurate pricing please request a complimentary in salon consultation.  Payment for all services can be made by cash, Pay ID, EFTPOS, Visa and MasterCard – fees apply. We do not accept AMEX or cheques.

Bookings Policy 

If you book a service with us, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. You may be required to provide contact information such as name, email, and phone number. We use this information to secure your booking, send appointment reminders or contact you in regard to any issues regarding an upcoming appointment. We may also on occasion use this contact information for in salon marketing purposes, but you can opt out or unsubscribe if you don’t wish to receive any.  ALL appointments are via BOOKINGS ONLY. Deposit Policy 

Deposits must be paid to book services: that exceed 3 hours.  If you are a new client, we reserve the right to ask that a deposit between $50-$100 for anyone booked in for a Hair or Beauty service. 

Cancellation Policy 

We reserve your appointments especially for you; therefore, we request that you be courteous and respectful and contact us promptly if you are unable to attend an appointment. To best utilise appointment times for all clients we need at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Less than 24 hours’ notice could result in a charge of 50% of the service cost. This also applies to drastic appointment changes on the service you are booked in for – so, if you are booked in for a long service and you change your mind and don’t want it done any more, you must let us know 24 hours prior to your appointment time.  “No Shows” at our discretion may be charged 100% of the service cost. To reschedule your appointment, you may be required to pay a deposit between $25-$100 (depending on the service) to and or refused future bookings. 

Appointment Reminder Service Policy 

We offer an SMS reminder service which is sent to you 2 days prior to your appointment. On receipt of this text, we ask that you confirm ‘Y’ for Yes or call us to cancel or reschedule. The Cut Hut Hair and Beauty Studio reserves the right to cancel any unconfirmed appointments up to 24 hours before scheduled appointment time. ‘No shows’ may be required to pay deposits for all future appointments or be refused future appointments at our discretion. 

Running Late 

We understand, life is crazy and things happen, however, if you are running more that 10 minutes last according to our clock, the appointment may have to be rescheduled. We will do what we can to get you in as soon as we can. Please let us know as soon as possible if your going to be late. No-show and Cancellation Policy may be applied (see above policy). 

Check-in Policy 

Please provide your name so we can properly inform your service provider of your arrival. Due to COVID-19 regulations- 

When you arrive in salon, we:

  • Request you sanitise your hands
  • Ask you to sign a consultation agreement to confirm the  above
  • Will take your temperature and we will reschedule anyone over 37.7degrees C
  • Will ask you to NOT bring any guests to your appointment including children
  • We won’t be providing any beverages or magazines

Cleaning Policy

We will be following WHO standards for workplaces including hand sanitisation and protection, sanitisation of all used equipment and stations including all towels, capes, aprons & PPE used by staff, after every use.

Alcohol and Drug Consumption Policy 

When visiting our privately -owned salon all Alcohol and Drug consumption is prohibited on the premises, if alcohol or drugs have been consumed prior to visiting our salon, The salon is not responsible for and injury in our facility or injury and accidents before or after the Client has left the salon. 

Mobile Phones 

We want The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Studio to a pleasant, tranquil and stress-reducing experience for all. We request that you turn your mobile devices to vibrate or silent. 

Food and Beverage 

We will not be providing any beverages made in salon, but orders can be filled by the local café at a discounted price.

Service Redo & Refund Policy 

At the Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Studio we will always perform a thorough consultation prior to your service. A written quote can be asked for before all services commence. If for whatever reason you are not happy with services performed at The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Studio, we require clients to contact the salon within 1-4 days to resolve any issues. Services performed at The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Studio will not carry any guarantee if the client is not using professional products as recommended. The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty will not refund or compensate clients for change of mind or unrealistic expectations not being met. The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty will not refund or compensate for services performed elsewhere to rectify or change outcome of services performed at The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Studio.  The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Studio reserves the right to correct any issues in house before a refund is offered given there is basis to do so at our discretion. No refund will be offered, or liability acknowledged for unsatisfactory services or treatments without a Senior Staff Member of The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Studio physically being able to inspect the unhappy clients Hair or Beauty Service or treatment.  Photos alone are not a satisfactory or a sufficient form of identifying fault or an issue with any of our hair or beauty services. 

Service Disclaimer 

We always do a complete consultation and take every step necessary to ensure your safety and the best possible results.  While we are confident in our knowledge and experience, sometimes the unexpected can happen. It is your responsibility to: • Complete thoroughly and truthfully all Client Hair, Skin and Body consultation forms provided • Advise us if you have been exposed to or swam in chlorine • Used any type of natural hair colour, especially henna or chemist/supermarket hair colour. • Started new medication or diet, receiving treatment for any illness ie cancer, acne, if you have a pacemaker or any contagious hair or skin conditions • Anything else that could possibly affect your hair or beauty service Whilst we adhere to strict guidelines regarding all hair, body and skin treatments it is impossible for us to ask every question regarding every possible circumstance that could result in an unwanted outcome. We cannot always foresee every possible outcome.  If in doubt, mention it! All staff strive to ensure our clients happiness and satisfaction. They have been added to the team based on their experience and higher education and knowledge. We will do our very best to ensure you leave with beautiful, healthy hair each time you leave our salon!

Product Exchange Policy 

After purchasing a product from The Cut Hut Hair and Beauty Studio if you are not satisfied with your product purchase you may exchange your purchase for another product of similar value at our discretion within 5 days, products must have 75% product remaining for exchange., depending on the circumstances the offer of a credit may apply.  This does not apply to electrical's, earrings and other body jewellery, skincare, Makeup, brushes combs and all SALE purchases. 

Gift Certificates/Vouchers s are valid for products and services only they cannot be used to purchase other gift certificates and are non-transferable, we are not responsible for lost stolen or damaged gift certificates, or the unauthorized use of a gift certificate. 

Promotions/Competitions Policy 

The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Studio will from time to time run competitions and promotions. We will always endeavour to run these fairly and transparently. Some individual promotions will have specifi c Terms & Conditions, but all have the following T&Cs: • Salon Managers decision is final. • Salon Managers discretion applies in relation to any grey areas or technicalities. • All competitions and promotions run for 1 month maximum unless otherwise stated. • Prizes/rewards/discounts are as stated and not to be exchanged for cash or substituted for their products or services unless  agreed  to by the manager. • All Winners are randomly selected unless otherwise stated. • Fair Play rules apply where clients may unreasonably take advantage of a promotion or competition or offer in a way it was not intended. If no terms and conditions are stated than the above terms apply automatically. 

Child Safety Policy 

As a family focused salon, The Cut Hut Hair and Beauty Studio welcomes families and children. Please remember, however, our salon is not a child proof environment. Many chemicals, hot tools and sharp objects are being used at all times. To ensure the safety of children and guest’s all small children must be restrained or supervised in the Beauty Room and at all Hair Stations, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult for all scheduled appointments. If a parent brings a child, during the parent’s reserved service time, please ensure that and the child is not left unattended or unsupervised, that the child is quietly seated in our waiting area (TV is available on request) or always have adequate amusement devices to stay seated. If this is not possible the service will need to be rescheduled later when the child is not present.  All damage to salon stock and staff tools of trade - purchase or replacement will be the responsibility of the child’s parent or guardian. The liability is too great for The Cut Hut Hair and Beauty Studio to assume responsibility for children that are unattended. We aim to keep The Cut Hut Hair and Beauty Studio’s environment as friendly and relaxing as possible for our guests, so please keep this in mind if your children accompany you when you visit. 

Personal Property and Items 

Even though we take as much care as possible, please note that personal items are the responsibility of the client. The salon is not responsible for items lost or forgotten during your appointment with us. We ask that clients keep up with their personal belongings, and in case of left items, we will keep the items for 2 weeks. If not claimed, the items will be donated to the charity of our choice. 

Privacy Policy 

The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Studio diligently monitors the privacy and confidentiality of personal information and ensures compliance to all relevant legislative and moral requirements by instilling discipline in all aspects of our business. Our objective is to protect and maintain the privacy, and security of your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act. We are committed to the privacy and protection of your information. Wedding Policy 

Wedding/Bridal Parties are required to pay a 50% deposit at booking confirmation and the remainder 1 week prior to the appointment. Payment plans – “Zippay” available can be organised for Parties over $1000. Hair and Makeup trials are not compulsory but are strongly recommended. Pricing is not guaranteed until a booking has been confirmed and a deposit paid. It is the responsibility of the client to be on time. We cannot guarantee the completion time if the client is running late. Bookings are subject to availability, please contact us for enquiries. 

Pet’s Policy 

The only animals permitted inside The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Salons premises are approved service dogs. Local Council laws permits no other animals within the salon, we can’t allow them inside and we don’t want you to leave them in the car, so please leave them at home. 

Online Purchases Privacy Policy 

Our Privacy Policy describes the information we gather about you, and the purpose for which it is used. The Cut Hut Hair & Beauty Studio will never sell your information to any third party. 

What we collect 

Identifiable information necessary for the transaction or our internal records. Information associated with your connection to our site including your IP address, operating system, Web browser, and page visits. The email addresses of those who communicate with us via email, aggregate information on what pages customers access or visit, and any information customers volunteer. Financial information, such as a credit card number, used for order processing only. 

What we do with your information 

The information we gather is used in-house to help us create a better and more effective shopping experience for our customers. Understanding typical navigational patterns helps us improve website fl ow and efficiency. When you make a purchase, we will send you emails to confirm your order and may also need to contact you via phone, postal mail or email if we have other questions regarding your order. 

Privacy and Security 

We use the latest encryption technologies to keep your personal information safe. Your private ordering information – including your credit card number – is encrypted using several keys for maximum security. 


Purchases including Gift Certificates usually arrive in 3 – 7 business days for those that request shipping or will be available within 24 hours at our location after purchase online. Please note postage fees apply to all online purchases.
